#138 Bookworm Problems.

You know you’re a bookworm when your to-be-read pile is overtaking your nightstand.

Update on the books pictured in the photograph:

  • In The Woods, Tana French – my first Tana French book!  I really enjoyed it, I’m still thinking about the plot and the characters.  I will definitely be picking up more of her books in the future.
  • Harry Potter and the Cursed Child – I knew going into this that the writing style would be nothing like J.K. Rowling’s beloved novels from reading reviews on GoodReads.  I thought that it wouldn’t bother me, and I thought it would be interesting to see the world of Harry Potter as a grown man, having children myself.  However, as I got started on this book, I really couldn’t connect with the characters and I truly didn’t want to change the wonderful world the J.K. so lovingly created – 50 pages in and Did Not Finish (DNF).
  • Lost Lake, Sarah Addison Allen – cute book, not my favorite from this author, but a good light read.  My favorites of hers include Sugar Queen and Garden Spells.
  • The Alchemist & A Tree Grows in Brooklyn – Sadly, I still haven’t touched these two!  They are classics that need to be read, and unfortunately I just haven’t had time to read, or it hasn’t been the right time for them yet.  Someday.
