I have a confession to make; I have a *slight* obsession with Kate Middleton. Not only is she absolutely gorgeous, her style is classic and timeless. There have been more than a few occasions that I have purchased clothing and accessories based on her outfits. So when I found out today that I needed a party dress for my brother’s night reception, I knew who I could turn to for inspiration.
My brother’s fiance had two requests: 1) the reception dress needed to be either green or gold, and 2) we needed to wear gold shoes. I absolutely love a bold green dress, and I felt that my hair color and skin tone would pull off green better than gold. I knew exactly which dress of Kate’s that I wanted to emulate:
She even accessorized with a gold clutch, exactly the direction that I was headed. After hours spent searching for the right shade and the right style of dress, I finally came across one on Amazon on all places. Since I needed this dress within a week, I was determined to find something that could be shipped quickly. Add in the prime shipping, and it was a done deal. I am eager to try it on when it arrives in the mail Thursday.
