My brother. He may act big and tough at times, but he is the most sentimental, most sincere, and most loving person you will ever meet. He is getting married this September, and while I was perusing the website today I came across this:
Katherine Marie Sokolow, the ex-Nicholson. My one and only, and the world’s greatest, sister. Kate, I love you and am so proud of the woman that I have seen you grow into. You were always there for me to torture when I needed a Barbie to rip the head off of or someone to annoy when they had friends over. I saw you grow up and take everything that Mom and Dad taught us as kids and put it into practice and become the amazing mother of two little boys, William and Nathan, and the loving wife of that guy……Andrew. I’m kidding. Andrew is family and I am thankful that our family was blessed with him as my brother and your husband. When we were kids, it was hard to imagine how siblings could ever get along. And now, I don’t just consider you my sister, I consider you one of my best friends. I always tell people that I am truly blessed when it comes to the family I was born into with two loving parents who lived out the vows of ‘death do us part’ (rest in peace Mom, we love you), and such an amazing sister like yourself. After completing grad school and becoming a nurse practitioner at Vanderbilt University in Nashville, TN, helping raise two dashing young gents, and marrying a man who has no problem busting my chops, you are truly living your best life. I am glad you are a part of mine and Elizabeth’s special day. Thank you and well done, Kate. I love you.
I will be in the wedding party, standing on my brother’s side, and I could not be prouder of the man that he has become. It is an honor to be a part of his special day.
