This weekend was a flurry of purchasing last minute things for the wedding weekend ahead, and I finally got around to putting the boys in their outfits that they will wear to the reception. Besides the missing bow ties and missing shirt on Nathan's behalf, I would say we are ready to party!

#95 Bookstore Fix.
The minute I walked into Barnes and Noble on Friday night, I knew I had made the right decision. I got myself a cup of hot tea, and roamed the bookshelves without any kind of agenda in mind. It was so relaxing to be able to take in the atmosphere and find books on the … Continue reading #95 Bookstore Fix.
#93 Good Tears.
There are only a handful of times that I recall crying after my mom passed away. It is something that has been bothering me for the last two years. I want to cry; I can feel it building up inside of my chest. The sadness, the angst, all of those emotions I have felt have … Continue reading #93 Good Tears.
#92 A Smooth Morning.
There are some days when I wake up, and the entire morning runs smoothly. Granted, they are few and far between these days. So when they do happen, I truly feel so much gratitude for those mornings. Our boys spend a lot of their week in someone else's care, so it is nice to see photos of the things that go on during their time away from us. Today, we received quite a few pictures of sweet little Nathan and his days at school. As I walked into his classroom today, I … Continue reading #82 Daycare Photos.
#80 Self-Care.
I was completely unaware of how little I had been taking care of myself until my college girlfriends came to visit a few weekends ago. I was hanging out in their hotel room that weekend, and I look over to see my friend Sarah putting on a facial mask. I was just staring at her … Continue reading #80 Self-Care.
#79 Coco.
There are some very hard truths that I have learned after I lost my mom. The most important being that sometimes even your closest friends and family members will not know what to do or say, and sometimes it can be downright hurtful when you are knee deep in grief. It is okay to talk … Continue reading #79 Coco.
#68 My Attempt at Yoga.
Over the last several weeks, it has been difficult for me to wake up extra early, pack the kids up in the morning, and get them out the door at a decent time. This has been rather unfortunate, because then I feel rushed into my morning since I am barely making it to work at … Continue reading #68 My Attempt at Yoga.
